With her extensive fundraising experience, creative problem-solving, and management skills Caroline has carved out a successful career in building public/private partnerships that bring the power of the private sector to bear on nonprofit and public projects. Launching Big Vision in 2017, she inspires leaders and organizations to create bold plans, necessary structure and talented teams that deliver results.
Caroline served as the Founding President of the Trust for the National Mall, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service (NPS) dedicated to raising funds to improve one of the most iconic landscapes in the world; the National Mall. Caroline built the Trust into a fundraising powerhouse building a board of national significance and working with top global corporations, raising more than $180 million in combined private and public funds in seven years.
Caroline directed the CEO-driven Potomac Conference, (the Greater Washington Board of Trade’s think tank) creating cross-sector collaborations of CEOs, nonprofit executives and federal, state and local government leaders committed to improving economic and social well-being on issues like Homeland Security, Technology Transfer and Regional Wellness.
Caroline has held numerous political and nonprofit fundraising leadership roles including serving as the Executive Director of the Collis-Warner Foundation, and the National Finance Director of the Democratic Governors’ Association.
She currently serves as the Emeritus President of the Columbia Foundation which promotes the power of community by investing in local charities in the Greater Washington Area. Caroline and her husband live in Washington DC.
